Pigeon is not the right answer, nor is any other bird. From pretty swallowtail butterflies come little eggs and then hungry caterpillars that dine on young citrus leaves. It's a case of the ugly duckling turning into the beautiful swan. And how many leaves can a few caterpillars eat?  I generally leave them alone knowing someday I'll have  new butterflies fluttering through the garden. [ Back ]
